on behalf of the senior class i'd like to say a big THANKEW to all juniors! we lub u deep deep ^_^

although the food isn't really good, the ambience wasn't really nice, the attendance wasn't really spectacular, but the bonding was great! hahas i guess we all enjoyed the games and interaction, with gareth's delirium and whatnot.. heh hehh hheehh

went to take tons of photos, especially all the seniors like sha and sab, all photo-crazy lol! make sure u share the photos, especially the ghostly ah long one! must-see! ask from sab!

Hey hey, I haven't blogged in a while here...and so I thought I'd say somehting! I've been actively engaged in angel-mortal business and as I tried to be a responsible mortal/angel and fill my angels/mortals in about our class, I revisited the past year with this class, and considered again the personalities behind all the familiar faces I see every morning at the class bench, and reported faithfully everything true that I could share...and it's really quite simple, and I thought that the people directly involved ought to know...that 68 rocks and I (heart) it!

68 has come to mean a lot to me, and I never thought I'd like it this much, but I do and I've never been prouder being in a class!

wahaha like what jon said, 68 rox our ass off man!!

at first i thought out junior class like a bit sian sian like that, but they ended up to be so enthu! lolz!! the song session was great (though we were lalala-ing becos we dono lyrics) and the dance session was pwnz0rz as well.. haha the bonding was great!

we finally managed to show them a more proper 68 cheer (the na-na-na one) and the girls screaming were just insane. didn't realise that shalene can go as loud or even louder than chiok!! damn zai... my left ear still a bit blocked right now, it's damn powderful.

our junior class was so high lah, even higher than us; reach bus stop already still singing, lolz! supper was great (not really the food per se but more like the interaction) i finally can match some names to faces liao, people like suet, heng jie, genesis, cheryl, ying jie, hai han, samuel, shawn, marvin and some other random people i can still recognise, so hopefully i wont dao them when i meet them in the future lol

and omg my table (ndrool, eugene, siyu, i) drove the juniors crazy with the bee game thingie... they were like thinking SO hard, especially genesis lol! i bet they'll feel like killing themselves when they finally get the trick XD

hhaa i run out of things to write liao, realise that my entry probably sounds uber lame but i too lazy to polish it liao.. byez

Heh, just asking if someone can post today's group photos online? Heh Mrs Wang's son is so cute!! Too bad I had to come late and miss out on all the preparations... only helped to eat :)

So many people came back tonight, Ker Min, Edmund, Victor were all there with us, playing pool, foosball, ping pong, bridge and tons of other junk lol... Mr. Chow turned out to be quite pro at pool also (probably calculated everything with phy. lol)

The food we prepared were also ownage, even when I arrived late there was still tons of konyaku (Ka Ming, Si Yu), fried rice/bee hoon/spaghetti (dunno who), DELICIOUS cheese cakes (Wei Jie) left. Gareth became full-time prawn peeler (though I didn't get to eat any) while everyone else just gorged themselves silly (still managed to leave enough for the teachers though)

The teachers who turned up were Mr. Chow (earliest, but still late), Ms Kee, Mr. Choe, Mrs. Wang (with son Keane).... It's just so sad that they are not going to stay with us next year :(

As of writing some people are still at Sheen Mao's ~~palace~~ place, probably staying over. Haha yeah this is all the stuffI can say right now, maybe someone else can post a follow up after this? And oh, Jas, wished you were here... it was really a great night...

p.s. I will seriously consider getting a haircut soon. Yeah. I will :)

Sorry jas for not posting on your big homecoming lol... guess we were all too busy >_<

just came back from halloween night with brent, coming, ndrool, siyu, sun yang, her friend, mao mao, eugene and christine... it was sooo sian!! guess the turnout was larger than council could have handled. we didn't even get to see gareth in action lah, since the tour was like so jampacked and delayed. waited for like 2 bloody hours without so much of a call or reply, and in the end they cancelled the thing cause it was too late. talk about pwnz0red.

the movie screening was okay (tons of screaming, even at the most irrelevant of all moments) and the disco thingie at the fishtank was actually quite well done with the dragostea din tei and everything (although we just stone inside) but the tour and maze kinda sucked...

the only saving grace tonight was by smao, who basically led the 11 of us to zum through the whole maze using brute force cos we were trapped so badly lololol.. i think we wrecked most of the walls and created a lot of doors that shouldn't have been :D

but overall it was still a wasted night... too much waiting, too little action :(

maybe council could have done a better job handling the logistics and anticipating the crowd...

g2g now... quite late already; tomorrow still must wake up to go school and play bridge lol...

Spamming Class outings

Hello everybody. I hope everyone enjoyed today's class outing, cause I did! =) It is the result of the hard work of many people, (excluding me), including Sabrina, Chiok, Christine, Shalene, Jonathan, Eugene, Sheen Mao, Andrew, Honda and many people else whom I have not mentioned. 3 cheers for all of you! Class outings are meant for the class, so even if u don't play a part in organising, just by turning up you are already doing your part as the class. So, I hope, in future, we can have more people turning up for class outings. Possibly, the whole class! (I know it's quite hard because people got other commitments)

Anyway, this holiday is really meant for us to enjoy ourselves. Because next year we have to pia for A levels. And, it's the last year we get to enjoy as a class. So, we should try to have as many class outings as possible.

As for the next class outing, I am thinking of a stayover of some sort. Would anybody be interested? And, would anybody be interested in going Kbox?

Always dreamt of getting promoted? Working hard all day long, and wanting to gain some recognition? Well, your chance is here finally!

Promotional exams are scheduled as follows:

30 Sep Friday - GP + Physics
3 Oct - Econs
4 Oct - Maths
5 Oct - Chem
6 Oct - Computing

Anyway, on a more serious note, what do we do on 5 October after promos? We have approximately 5 days of holiday after promos, so we could have a class chalet, but I think tt's quite sian. Please suggest.

As for the mugging outing, it is now being held in school each day from the time lessons end to 7pm. Venue is either class bench or reading room. Everyone is welcome to join.

Suggestions for Class Outing

COC Outing Part 2
Some suggestions I have received:

1) Organise the outing in Escape! Do your mugging in the Viking ship, roller coasters, and much much more! Plus, you can also mug while queueing up, saving time.

2) Organise the outing in a zoo. Maybe the zoo will organise a Mug With Ah Meng day. Or maybe we can just go to an air-con room in the zoo to mug.

3) Mug in PS. The highest level on PS, near the cinema, near The Star Factory. Might be a little noisy and unconducive.

4) Go to Jon's house to mug. Jon has promised to air his collection of videos for us.

The outing will probably be organised in the weekend after GP. More suggestions are welcome. Please feedback.

Chalet After Blocks

This entry is dedicated to the most recent class outing! I have the most exciting and wonderful piece of news to share, haha! (But i think most people know it already, nevermind nvermind, haha!)

(I learnt how to ride a bicycle!)

Okay la, though people keep telling me, "Don't care about falling...bound to fall sooner or later!", I didn't fall that much and badly at all, but I screamed a lot, haha. Lots of heartfelt thanks to everyone for their encouragement, to weijie for really coaching me haha (love you!), to wenxiang siyu and uncle who haha laughed at and with me and cycled with me, slowly, haha :D Weijie ah, has proven to be a patient teacher haha. She was encouraging me all the way haha and praising my sometimes lame efforts! Damn cool, weijie, you rock totally!

Haha, ok. I didn't go on Sunday, i.e. the 3rd, and I didn't stayover on the 4th. So, who turned up at 1 pm at the meeting place? According to Andrew, they are yewloong, wangxu and sheenmao, haha. Before I can dig out more details, Andrew has gone to sleep.

On monday, we went shopping to buy food for the bbq, then we went back to the chalet. We thought the room looked filthy, haha. (Shalene had said "sleazy" as seconded by honda when he arrived much later.) However, according to brent, it was very clean the night before. So the girls went to fetch chiok while some guys went to swim. After we met up with chiok and had lucnh (we weren't counting on the reserve of cup noodles), we joined the other guys who weren't swimming at pool. This is where weijie and I opened a table to learn it, haha. After pool, we cycled (HAHA lalalala)/ bladed, and then we started preparing for the bbq.

Bbq was nice! Lots of food which tasted decent and better! After dinner everyone just bummed around - talking, cards................................

After I left, I heard "somebody" set the bin on fire! Then some watched dark waters while the rest slacked and crapped outside................................Nice to call me then while I was rotting at home waiting for my hair to dry................................

Those who stayed over are reaching home haha because one by one they are coming online................................

as many of us might have noticed, (quite hard to miss, actually) G has been lugging his HUGE tahan bag to and fro school until his "back got owned" by all that weight from the sandbags...

i thought for a while and suddenly realised that instead of lugging sandbags around G might as well help all of us carry our school bags...

not only will it help in his training, but also benefit the rest of us as well... killing 2 stones with 1 bird some more...

Outings!

Some reflections from today's class outing:

1) Some people are very adamant over what they want to do, which other people may not like. For example, brentlim kept wanting to DDR. But nobody listens to him. Jonathan wants to rock fever. So everybody reluctantly drags their feet to accompany him.

2) This conflict of interest takes very long to settle, resulting in longer-than-necessary immobility, aka stoning. For example, everybody trekked to cine after meeting at orchard, but did nothing there, save for eating at Burger King. Yet, we spent at least 1.5 hours there.

In light of these, I would like to propose a solution. We need a class outing committee (COC), which will consist of the following positions:

- The all-powerful-leader-who-don't-have-to-do-anything-but-get-the-final-say (which of course have to be assumed by brentlim)
- Slacker (assumed by Sabrina. As the name implies, the job of a slacker is to slack. It's a cool job, for cool people like sab. )
- Photographer (assumed by Chiok. Has the power to freeze everyone except brentlim. When she says FREEZE, you are not to move until she has taken a photo of u. She also has the power to make anyone (again except brentlim) bai3 ani pose for her to take photos. This is more powerful than Jon's golden rule)
- The coordinator (in charge of notifying/coercing everyone to turn up)
- Logistics (assumed by Yang. the one who plans the itenary as well as calculate costs)
- Sales Executive (assumed by Gareth. Haven't thought of what he needs to do yet, but since he's one in student council, he might as well be one in the COC

In future, all class outings will be planned and carried out by this committee. All decisions by this committee is final. Of course, the COC should try to strike a compromise so that everyone is happy. A class outing, is after all, an outlet for distressing. But if there is a conflict of interest, we will follow brentlim's wishes, then majority's. But rest assured you will all enjoy yourself thoroughly. Since it is of brentlim's concern that everyone enjoys themselves, since he is, after all, the benevolent and all-powerful-leader-who-don't-have-to-do-anything-but-get-the-final-say.

hey ppl. nothin much here. juz xin xue lai chao decided to blog here tonight. Things really going quite bad for mi lahz. esp after losing mi best fren ----kermin, to NY. Not juz that lahz.. (really huo bu dan xing), weenky pang n bobby also go liao le. Not to forget shanny!. Missing some ppl real badly lahz. first three months really jux pass so fast lahz. well but it shall be a fond memory for mi for a long long time to come.

alright. what can i say man. this kind of thoughts are usually kept deep within the cranial contours of my head. hmmmm. anyway here goes (pardon if this sounds sappy/mushy whatnot k)

05s68. you guys have beena great bunch of peeps for the first 3 months. especially my bestie sabrina, second bestie kermin, sixth bestie jonn (there isnt 3rd 4th and 5th. i ranked you 6th cause u did that to me!) dearest sisters shanny and shalene. (hey i really love u guys loads okay) hmmm not forgetting 3rd bro in law and dearest chiokk. (: you've all been great pals really. (i mean it) . alright i guess, time has come, and we'll all be parting ways already. really could never have expected this day to come. it's been a wonderful experience for all of us, despite us leaving to other classes/other jc's to pursue our own future. just wanna wish everyone all the best.

really have lots of fond memories that have been left behind. from orientation, with chiok screaming away and scaring everyone elsee. and us getting splattered all over with flourballs by the councillor. the wonderful STJ at breeks. JTS at temasek club. the many outings we had together. the fun we had and the moments we shared. haha.. skipping and slacking lectures together. our mad laughter in our favourite thursday classroom. our sister clan! haha i love all my sisterssssss. you all must take care wherever you go kayy. becausee i'll always be watching you from somewhere else !

i dont really know where i'll be heading to la. might be some other s6 class. not that you guys aren't great, but theres really something missing in the class which i really wish to find in my 1.75 years of jc life left. don't worry, i'll be back often. i promise.

woohoo today's class outing was quite fun. we finally decided smth to do together! so we went to fly kites. smth simple yet erm fun. chiok's and my ULTRAMAN kite flew quite well! until someone by the name of wenxiang spoilt it. so we went to kermin and shared her BUTTERFLY kite - the girls' kite, which flew the best i think. HAHA. edmund's PIKACHU kite tore after some time too. lousy quality kites. after that the lamers - gareth brent engmeng attempted to do some wushu stuff on the grass. funneee.
and then we went to the pool place but some find it smelly so we went to VICTOR'S SUPERBOWL which was full of pros. we waited and waited and watched and watched and then we decided to actually do smth instead of waiting and watching. so off we went! back to the smelly pool place. JJJ rocks! :D it doesnt matter whether we win or not, we are still the best team ever! anyway uncle meng is quite pro at pool. brent, please reflect on yourself. i only learned how to talk rubbish from you. STILL, i believe that you are better than that.
thats about it. im tired. took some candid shots. hmmm should i upload it? anyway DIARYLAND's down. so i shall blog here in the meantime :)

we are meeting at ang mo kio mrt station at 3pm. pls bring 5 dollars for e food. we are goin to meet up first den go the the ntuc/shop&save to shop. and if u cant make it at 3pm, u can always come later. to go to my hse, just stop at amk mrt station, and take bus no. 265 at e bus stop parallel to the length of the mrt. im here to suggest a class outing to improve on our class's situation :) i thought of some ideas so if you all want then we will go ahead with them yeah? though i doubt that you people actually read the class blog.
ONE. we will go roller blading at pasir ris then head to fishermen village for dinner and maybe go to the playground after that! and since not many people know how to roller blade, we can all fall down and get up TOGETHER. ooh and we can go stargazing too :D
TWO. watch spongebob squarepants! we can all have a good laugh together.
THREE. erm ran out of ideas.
by the way gareth will be tahaning from friday to erm tuesday i think. and weijie and i have camp from saturday to wednesday. so we will be available on thursday froday sat sun!

Why it is important to go to arcade:

One of the main attraction of arcade is DDR (Dance Dance Revolution). It is very fun and you can exercise and lose weight and keep fit at the same time. It also trains your stamina and with enough DDR, you might just master the Endurance spell.
Many of the games require good hand-eye coordination. Such as Para Para or Time Crisis. For the latter, it trains your eyesight, your reaction time and your shooting accuracy. Some games such as King Of Fighters require you to spam buttons (correct ones) in a very short time. You develop the ability to perform very quick calculations and before you know it, you become more keen and can pay better attention during lectures. You also can think better.
Games such as Daytona hones your driving skills. It lets you get used to the steering wheel and gears so you can better pass your driving test in future. It also trains your judgement and estimation skills when you think of how to execute that sharp turn.
You learn team work. Cooperative play such as DDR allows one player to continue to the next level even if he/she fails so long as the other player passes.
Contrary to popular beliefs, arcade isn't expensive (if you go with a pro player). $2 can last you for a good half an hour at the DDR machine, which is much cheaper than membership at some gym, despite acrueing the same benefits. It MIGHT be a little expensive if you are newbie, but as you get more and more pro, you realise you need less and less tokens. For example Edmund can pown everyone in KOF with just minimal tokens. Or Gareth with his DDR.
Besides, all these life skills you learn in arcade, you still are concerned about money? These skills are so much more important than those we will ever learn in schools, and yet school fees are still way more expensive than arcade. And school isn't fun at all.

Hence, what are you waiting for? Next time school dismiss early, or holiday, bring home clothes and go zham arcade.

That aside, now for a report of the X-country for the benefit of those who were absent. Eng Meng was ranked 60 over, which is damn good, considering that he ran 3/4 of the distance with only one shoe. The other runners were also okay, ranking 200 over I think. Chiok ran very fast, faster than I imagined, and was rewarded with a face as red as a strawberry, (but no tan still...) After the marathon drama, Eng Meng and Gareth were invited to star in the sequel "Where the !@#$ are my bags" - Uncle Meng limps on one leg (still walking around with only one shoe) searching for his bag. Gareth appears nonchalant. Meng got tired of searching. Wanted to report. Gareth started to get anxious. Even more searching. Gareth found bag at last! Our main characters hugged. Audience claps! *curtain falls*
